Simply remove your wet-side assembly, remove existing screen, and install this guard back onto your pump as before! This guard not only protects your pump from anemones, but other small creatures like starfish, fish, urchins and snails from getting into your pumps and breaking them.
 
This replaces the existing ecotech guard and does not slide over. This allows for greater water flow through the pump.
